Description
Jonathan, the son of King Saul, wasn’t just a prince — he was a man of action. In one of the most daring missions in Scripture, Jonathan turned to his armor-bearer and said:
“Come, let’s go over to the Philistine outpost… perhaps the Lord will act on our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving — whether by many or by few.”
Two men. A heavily guarded enemy outpost. And Jonathan led the charge up a cliff and into enemy territory, defeating 20 soldiers in a half-acre of ground. His courage caused panic to ripple through the Philistine army and sparked a national victory.
Jonathan lived with bold faith, unshakable loyalty to David, and readiness to act when others waited. He didn’t need the odds — he had God.
